This is article is nonsense. The consensus is real, in fact I wonder where the other 19% come from; either an insane asylum or few mosques in Hebron. No-one other than Pazit claimed the overwhelming consensus supporting the war implied support for Netanyahu or the razor thin coalition he leads; it obviously does not. Bloom has merely set up a straw man that she can knock down in order to attack Netanyahu.
During World War II, the British public overwhelmingly supported the war against the Nazis, and the government led by Sir Winston Churchill. However once the war was won and peace was established, the people who had 100% supported the war, rejected the Conservative Party lead by Churchill by voting Labour into office. Reversals of this kind are not unexpected nor in any way negate the huge current support for the war.
