I was born in the UK; I was proud to be a British citizen; I owe my life to the fact that when Britain stood alone in 1940 against Hitler’s apparently invincible forces, Britain stood firm. In those days the British were decent people; the British were brave. I am no longer proud of my British heritage. Now I’m proud of my Israeli nationality; I’m proud of the fact that when the rest of the world has abandoned its moral foundation, in Israel we know right from wrong and are willing to fight against barbarism. I’m proud of my grandchildren who serve in the IDF, the only moral army in the world today. I’m proud of the amazing accomplishments of my country in war and in peace. I would not live elsewhere. I pray that I will live long enough to see Britain recover its moral compass and spiritual backbone; not for my sake, not for Israel’s sake, but for Britain’s sake, for the world’s sake.

This cannot happen under the pitifully weak and corrupt current administration. Britain needs leaders with guts, with a moral backbone, with the determination of a Churchill. Leaders who have the vision to see beyond the next election; leaders who prioritize what is right over what is expedient.
