Seizing the global momentum (JPost 8 Aug)

The article by Ben-Meir suggests amongst other imbecilities that Israel should accept a Palestinian state on its indefensible borders. He ignores the fact that the PA, a proto state, has continued to finance ‘pay to slay’ rewards for terrorists convicted of murder or other heinous crimes, or pensions to dependents of terrorists killed by The IDF. He ignores that in spite of this the PA is intensely unpopular amongst the vast majority of its constituents which is why it doesn’t hold elections. The logical conclusion that any sane person would make is that if a Palestinian state was created and elections were held the winner would be Hamas or an equivalent terrorist group. Alternatively if no elections were held a terrorist group would take over by force.

The blurb claims that Ben-Meir, a retired professor, taught courses on Middle Eastern studies, presumably at some American university. With professors so ignorant of basic understanding of Arab Muslim mind set, it is understandable that university students are so ill informed. Shame on the Post for publishing such utter garbage.
